wear a mask, elhoffer

my classes and the world

ahhhhhh. my classes are following me EVERYWHERE!!!!!!

First I take a break from Latin to read some Chris Durang. So, in Nature and Purpose of the Universe the monks come on conjugating amo and the Pope's speach starts with the declention of agricola and the conjugation of sum. And there are quotes in it from Death of a Salesman and Who's Afraid of Virgina Woolf.

Then I was taking a break from Latin again, playing Eight Off (a Solitare game) with RENT! on in the background and I start thinking about how the finale of Act One has the conventions of the 19th Century Italian Opera ( IS based on La Boheme, but still!).

My classes are taking over my life. It's soooo scary. Well...back to Aeneas and Dido.
