Chanukah to honor my ancestors. Solstice/Yule to honor the longest night (joie!) and the sun's return. XMas as a family day.
This year with the little one,
lordaerith and I had to figure out what were going to do. We decided that Solstice/Yule was our family gift-giving holiday for just the 3 of us and that XMas is a holiday that we can celebrate with extended family/friends. As for Chanukah, I'll probably continue the tradition my parents started of 1 present on the first night (and the rest of the presents to come at Yule & XMas).
