Mixed Green Salad, with Jicama, Gailia Melon and fried shallots finished with a summer champagne melon dressing;
Mixed Grill, with chicken, lamb, filet and pork medallions with an herb demi-glace, roasted potatoes, and fresh vegetables;
Fallen Chocolate Cake, with a dollop of whipped cream and fresh strawberries.
First of all, the presentation was phenomenal. Second, the food was wonderful. The dressing on the salad was light enough and it wasn't soaked through. The grilled meats were terrific and I got asparagus for my veggie, which always makes me happy. And the chocolate cake was to die for, especially with the strawberries which were dipped in some sort of sauce. Each plate had just enough that we all ate pretty much everything on it and we were all full by the end of the meal. You worry sometimes that with discount food the restaurant would skimp a bit, but they definitely prepared everything just as they would have for a regular dinner.
I would say that it's a good place to take a wealthy relative/friend who wants to treat you to a good dinner. However, if you're looking to go tomorrow, I heard the maître d' say that they were completely booked already.
