Stomach upset

I came down with a stomach bug yesterday evening.

Yesterday evening, after Little Prince was asleep, I started to feel queasy. I was still feeling queasy when I went to bed. Unfortunately the queasiness did not go away, and I wasn't really able to fall asleep.

So, next thing I knew, it was 12:30 in the morning and I was bending over the toilet throwing up everything I'd eaten for dinner and dessert. Then it started to come out the other side too. Not fun. This went on on-and-off for most of the rest of the night. I was able to get some rest, but by 3:30 in the morning I wasn't even holding down water. Of course I'm freaking out thinking that it's food poisoning because I had a ceasar salad for lunch and apparently that's not actually approved for pregnant women as it could contain raw/undercooked eggs.

I asked lordaerithto delay going into work. At 6:30 I was finally able to hold down about half a piece of toast, even if I was still leaking out the other end. Our awesome neighbor down the street, whose kid goes to LP's daycare was able to give LP a ride to daycare. By then I could hold down small sips of water. I ended up crashing out from 7am to about 9:30/10am.

I called the Birthing Center to talk to a midwife and make sure everything was okay. When she called me back she said it sounded more like a stomach bug than food poisoning and that I sounded on the downside of it. She said that my body would still give the fetus what it needs. She also said if the vomiting was to come back, to call back. It hasn't.

I got myself the rest of the toast and a banana and some water and nested on the couch. Got a bit of work done while slowly eating. Rested and watched The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmitt on Netflix. Noticed that nothing was coming out anymore. Hurray. Got starvingly hungry around 3pm and ate apple sauce on toast. It stayed down.

Friend down the street was awesome and picked up LP and had him over to play with her kiddos. I napped a bit more as sudden/lots of movement still made me nauseous. Aerith got home, I put in a pizza order, and then LP was brought home.

We watched Disney's Robin Hood with dinner. I had soup, slowly. I'm not sure it agreed with me as I feel really nauseous again, but at least it's not coming up.

Now Aerith is putting a very conserned LP to bed and I'm going to feed the cats and change the sheets on the bed (slowly) and then try to rest more.

I'm pretty sure this is the universe getting back at me for not having any morning sickness with either pregnancy.
